Canoas di Caribe and 6 ISLANDS zine have teamed up to bring you the slumber party of your QUEER DREAMS!

Queer Dreams is a Caribbean party that aims to cater to Queer Caribbean communities. Our aim is to create safer spaces for us by us to be able to have a great time without having to compromise our full identity. 🫰🏽🤌

So invite all your friends, get your best PJs out and let’s do each other’s makeup and dance the night away!

PARTY GUIDELINES:

Age
‼️ Age: 18 years or older to enter. ID check at the door ‼️

MISSION
With Queer Dreams we want to create a safer space for Queer Caribbean people of all genders and queer identities. In this space we aim to celebrate our full and intersecting identities, without having to hide any part of who we are. We want to underline that this party is a space centered around queer Caribbeans and we explicitly prioritize the safety of trans* folx in this space. If you are not queer or from the Caribbean be mindful of the space you take up at the party. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, NO -isms or -phobias. Finally, safer spaces are created through community, so we count on your cooperation and are open to remarks and suggestions.

‼️ NO CAMERAS ‼️
We want to encourage everyone to lock up your phones in the available lockers provided by WORM. We want to respect everyone’s privacy who chooses to attend this party. We will have a photobooth set up for those who would like to take snaps before we go all out! Designated members of our crew will also be documenting the evening but will not be taking pictures of our guests. 

PHOTOBOOTH
To help ensure everyone’s privacy, we will set up a fun area where you can take pictures without risking taking someone else’s picture without you or them knowing. 

SAFETY
Our aim is to create a safer space for everyone to party and have fun. Our Dream Guardians will be walking around to help maintain a safe space. Like we mentioned above, we do not tolerate any form of prejudice or harassment. Anyone who violates the guidelines can be escorted out. If at any point you feel unsafe or uncomfortable or witness inappropriate behavior, you can come up to any of us or call/text us on one of the following numbers:

We'll have our phones on LOUD and are always available to talk. Dream Guardians will be wearing reflective vests during the party.

CONSENT, CONSENT, CONSENT
Let’s all let loose and have fun with each other! But always ask for consent first ;) the more explicit the better. We ask everyone to respect others' pronouns, their bodies and their boundaries! Consent is sexy. Anything less than an enthusiastic YES does not count as consent.

COMMUNAL ROOM FOR MAKEUP AND DRESS-UP
WORM will have a space available for community members to be able to dress up and put on makeup. This space will be open from 10pm to 1am. Afterwards, you can place your stuff in the lockers (for 2 euros) to keep them safe!

LOCKERS
WORM has available lockers to store your important belongings. A locker costs 2 euros. It is non-refundable so use your 2 euros wisely!

CORONA
Lets not pretend corona isn’t a thing still (looking at you government), so we would like to add as an extra, please test before you come! If you feel any symptoms please stay home. Please take care of our community, especially those who are immune compromised.

SHARED SPACE WITH WUNDERBAR AT WORM
While the party will take place in a separate area, bathrooms will still be shared with Wunderbar.

SMOKING
There’s no designated smoking area, please go outside if you want to have a smoke.
