We’re beyond excited to share with you all the 4th edition of 6 ISLANDS zine: Myths, Myth-Making & Mythological Imaginations.
This evening is specially developed for BIPOC people who are neurodiverse, both with and without an official diagnosis.
The Island and Oceans Imaginaries workshop will adopt a climate justice lens to creatively explore sustainable ocean issues in the Caribbean and the increasingly discussed topic of climate reparations.
"Dawn" by Octavia Butler tracks Lilith Iyapo's journey, a human survivor revived by the Oankali, offering genetic merging for humanity's survival. It's the first in the Xenogenesis / Lilith's Brood trilogy. The expo, curated by Caithlin Courtney Chong, explores self-sufficiency, sustainability, de-colonialism, and tourism concerning the ABC-SSS islands' future. It showcases works by Quiana Cronie, Nigel Maduro, Glodiie, and Natisha Engel.
